A neighbourhood is more than a place on a map
You may know the name of your apartment building, but how many of the people living around you do you really know?
There may be a resident running a small business from home, a neighbour teaching children music, or a group bringing everyone together for a festival. Just outside the gate, a local shop may have a story of its own. These people and moments make a neighbourhood feel like home, but their stories often travel no further than a notice board or WhatsApp group.
GoodHood Community Circle gives those stories a place to be seen.
What is GoodHood?
GoodHood.cc is a community platform for stories, people and ideas from apartment communities, residential societies and the neighbourhoods around them. We’re starting in Bengaluru, sharing what residents are creating, celebrating and doing together.
Our idea is simple: when we get to know the people around us, we discover more reasons to feel connected to where we live.
What will you find here?
GoodHood will feature resident stories about the people you might pass every day but have never had the chance to meet. We’ll introduce homegrown entrepreneurs and neighbourhood businesses, giving you a closer look at the work and people behind them.
We’ll share community moments too: festivals, gatherings, children’s activities and simple initiatives that bring neighbours together. There’s also room for the things residents create, whether that’s a photograph, a piece of writing, an artwork or an idea others might enjoy.
Alongside these stories, we’ll share local events and useful listings to help you discover what’s happening and what’s available close to home.
A GoodHood story doesn’t need a big achievement or a large audience. Sometimes the most memorable story begins with a small idea: a child starting a book exchange, neighbours planting a garden, or someone turning a personal skill into a service that helps others.
How can you be part of it?
GoodHood is shaped by the people who live and work in these communities. You can tell us about yourself, suggest someone we should meet, or share an event, project or creative work from your neighbourhood.

If your story involves other people or photographs, please let us know whom we can speak with before we publish. The GoodHood team will review submissions and work with contributors to tell their stories clearly and respectfully.
This is just the beginning
We’re starting with Bengaluru, one community and one story at a time. As more residents join in, GoodHood can become a place to discover familiar faces, support local talent and see the good things happening around us.
